What's The Fastest Way To Obtain an EIN?

I need an Employer Identification Number but don’t have time to wait 30 days. IRS lines are constantly busy to get one over the phone. Is there an alternate method to obtain an EIN?

Go to the IRS website, www.irs.gov. Under “Online Services”, select the tab on the left hand side of the home page “Apply for an Employer Identification Number (EIN) Online” and follow the instructions.
